About Aljaž & EPiQ

Who I am

EPiQ is not a brand built first and a person added later.
It is a direct extension of how I’ve worked for more than two decades.

I’ve spent over 23 years working in management, business development, and marketing — not as an observer, but inside companies, markets, and decision-making processes where outcomes mattered. During that time, I’ve worked with startups, scale-ups, and established organisations across different industries, growth stages, and market realities.

What connects all of this experience is not a single sector or methodology, but exposure to how businesses actually function — how strategies are formed, how decisions are made under pressure, how organisations grow, and how they sometimes get stuck.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work deeply with different business models, go-to-market approaches, evaluation frameworks, market tests, studies, and commercial strategies. This breadth allows me to quickly recognise patterns — both healthy and problematic — and to understand where a company’s real constraints lie, beyond what is visible on the surface.

I don’t approach businesses as abstract systems. I approach them as living organisations, shaped by people, incentives, timing, and market forces. That perspective allows me to cut through noise, identify what truly matters, and help leaders move forward with confidence and clarity.

EPiQ isn’t just a company name — it’s a mindset.

EPiQ was created because I repeatedly saw capable founders, CEOs, and owners facing the same challenge:
they didn’t lack intelligence, ambition, or effort — they lacked a trusted thinking partner.

Someone who could challenge their assumptions, help structure decisions, pressure-test ideas, and provide grounded input without an agenda. Someone who could operate at eye level, understand context quickly, and stay focused on execution rather than theory.

That is the role I take on.

Not as a traditional consultant.
Not as a coach standing outside the business.
But as a business consigliere — a reliable partner in thinking, deciding, and executing when it matters most.
